On a clandestine operation in Afghanistan, US Navy SEAL Jack Thibideaux accidentally shoots a 12-year-old girl, forcing him to make a life-changing decision to abandon the mission and navigate a gauntlet of enemies to bring the girl to safety.

Two years later, Jack seeks solace from the Afghan incident in a new, quiet life in the small town of Port Townsend, but is mercilessly haunted by ‘The Black Dog,’ the darkness that so many veterans experience upon their return home. Two intriguing but wildly different women appear in Jack’s life. Only one can lead him to the redemption he longs for.

Jack befriends an old sailor who is trying to find his own redemption by salvaging a wreck full of gold, but both of them learn that second chances don’t come easy in the turbulent waters of Puget Sound. When a friend’s niece is kidnapped, Jack discovers how deep the scars of revenge run. In this suspenseful odyssey of vengeance and redemption, Jack must confront the hidden enemies that threaten to destroy him, escape The Black Dog and find something to live for.
